History of Events
The municipality of Essouassi was established on August 23, 1965, by Decree No. 418 of the year 1965 dated August 23, 1965.
The municipal area of Essouassi includes six imadas: Imada of Essouassi, Imada of Cherichira, Imada of Ksassba, Imada of Sidi Ennacer, Imada of Essayda, and Imada of Bouhlel, distributed as follows according to the 2014 census:
